What to Expect During an In-Home Flooring Estimate

An in-home estimate is a crucial first step in any flooring installation. It ensures we provide you with an accurate estimate and helps identify any prep work needed for a smooth, long-lasting result.

Here’s what’s included:

1. Floor space area- we will need to see the space to determine the amount of material and costs for installation

2. Inspection of the Subfloor & Existing Conditions

If your subfloor is exposed we can check the conditions of existing flooring. However, keep in mind if the subfloor is covered we CAN NOT check the subfloor for uneven surfaces, cracks, holes or loose damaged areas. 

The following issues can show themselves once the existing covering is removed and would need addressed at that time.

* Uneven surfaces

* Cracks or holes or water damage 

* Loose or damaged areas

* Moisture concerns (especially for concrete slabs or basements)

* Asbestos flooring

3. Professional Recommendations

* Any prep work needed

* Recommended materials or installation methods based on your space

* Answers to any questions you may have

Once the in-home inspection is complete, we’ll provide your an estimate and help schedule your installation at a time that works for you.
